With Stefan and Bethan Freedman
June 6th - 13th 2019
World Dances cover a range of contrasting styles and moods of dances in a circle - also known as Circle Dance. This course is open both to beginners and experienced dancers. At all levels you will find a relaxed and supportive learning environment. A beguiling blend of contemporary and traditional dances to music from all continents will be introduced. The course incorporates a grounding in Greek dances, which culminates in dancing with local island dancers after their performance. For over 10 years Bethan and Stefan's World Dance courses have attracted an international mix of participants from UK, Holland, Switzerland, Belgium, Germany, Canada, USA and Brazil.
Bethan studied contemporary and historic dance at the Guildhall School in London. Her style and verve in dancing, as well as her colourful outfits bring the movements vivdly to life. Stefan is celebrated worldwide for his powerful and varied choreography, and the live music he injects into the dancing. Together they create an atmosphere of intense joy, woven with magic and mystery. More about World Dances and the course leaders on www.worldance.org

Brigitta and Paul (Switzerland) "Valued the diversity of the program. We were both truly carried away by the variety of dances and wonderful music."
Eve Corrin (UK Circle dance teacher) "I love the traditional gleaming white and deep blue Cycladic simplicity of the hotel; a haven. Enjoyed the group forays into Greek resorts and villages for sightseeing, dancing by moonlight in the bougainvillea filled hotel courtyard. Stefan jamming with the Greek dancers, and the verve and style of their dancing."
Muriel Brock – Surrey, U.K "I loved the islanders who are touchingly open–hearted, the reflections of sun on water – intense blue of the sea and the sky, the vibrant magenta and purple bougainvillea against whitewashed walls, the moment when the spirit of the dance takes over and I no longer worry about my feet ! "
"Terrific. Clearly planned with a lot of thought and care. Glorious location. Delightful dancing - great pacing, instruction and variety. Dance festival superb."
"Hotel is lovely and well run, staff are delightful and attentive. Food delicious and plentiful. Dance course was wonderful. So unexpected to have singing and live music as well. Stefan and Bethan so helpful - you have thought of everything. We are already planning to come again next year."
"I like your flexibility, with the clear message that everything was optional. I appreciate your willingness to teach and re- teach for those of us who weren't familiar, and the varied selection of dances - mood and tempo."
"A relaxing week in beautiful location with blues and greens of Mediterranean. Swimming in clear water with sunbeams on the sandy seabed and moonbeams at night. Dancing - a lovely mix of both lively and peaceful dances."
